Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a high-performing finance leader with strong analytical and communication skills to be the Capital Markets Manager. This position supports the Director of Capital Markets and manages staff in the day-to-day Capital Markets activities. Capital Markets activities range from front office (strategy and execution), middle office (accounting and valuation), and back-office (processing and settlement) responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:
(1) evaluating share repurchase program performance and execution strategies,
(2) tracking of and reporting on outstanding bond issuances, interest expense accrual and payments and related interest rate derivatives, including monthly accounting entries and long-range plans
(3) modeling credit rating agency metrics, debt capacity models, and managing annual process to prepare annual rating agency presentation package,
(4) monitoring debt covenant compliance, and maintain internal controls for all job functions in compliance with SOX,
(5) maintaining and interpreting equity valuation and discounted cash flow model,
(6) designing, implementing and interpreting the results of complex financial models for such transactions as debt tenders, debt issuance break-evens, debt exchanges, convertible bonds, interest rate swaps, treasury rate locks, commodity hedging, etc.,
(7) performing analysis and preparing charts in direct support of Board of Director and related board committee presentations,
(8) evaluating opportunities for financial hedging of forecasted electricity usage, and managing the settlement, accounting and reporting of executed derivative transactions, and
(9) leading the team through digital transformation initiatives and financial system upgrades.
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated solid understanding of corporate finance and basic accounting principles to include experience with NPV cash flow analysis, accounting financial statements, debits vs. credits, and pro forma modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial models to senior and executive leadership
- Demonstrated effective analytical and communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written)
- Demonstrated advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and manage small team
- Highly motivated, self-starter, with proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet commitments in a timely manner
Desired Skills:
- Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts including share repurchase programs, capital structure, credit rating methodologies and metrics, market valuations, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in discussing complex financial topics with financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of Bloomberg functionality
- CPA, MBA, CFA, Leadership Development Program, or prior Capital Markets experience
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis including value at risk and regression analysis
- Treasury workstation (preferably Quantum) or financial accounting system experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
