What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the Business & Competitive Intelligence and Data Analysis Department (approximately 15 staff) in its efforts to provide high-quality business and competitive intelligence expertise and to enable partnerships key to mission and program success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead Sandia's business and competitive intelligence and data visualization capabilities in collaboration with other Integrated Partnerships Organizations (IPO) departments.Assist with Sandia partnerships through data-driven environmental and market analyses to support programmatic partnership decisions.Ensure these analyses and other results are communicated clearly using a variety of tools.Assist the mission portfolios to ensure that Sandia's unique capabilities are understood in the context of other labs and industry to provide greater opportunity for national security impact.Ensure a robust pipeline of high-quality business and competitive intelligence professionals to meet the needs of the mission portfolios and programs.In collaboration with other managers in the IPO, develop and execute the overall Partnerships strategy and Technology Transfer mission for the Labs.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Qualifications We Require:
MBA or Master's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience including expertise with one or more components of business development, business intelligence, or technology transfer, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experienceExperience leading a team or project in one or more areas of partnerships and business intelligenceExperience interacting with industry and other federal agency customersExperience providing support to mission portfolios/programs as they execute their program development strategiesEffective and persuasive written and oral communication skillsAbility to be granted DOE L clearance

About Our Team:
The Business & Competitive Intelligence and Data Analysis Department is responsible for supporting Sandia's programs in identifying and developing partnerships important to mission and program success through market and data analysis, decision support, and partnerships strategies. The department provides data visualization, market intelligence, and business development expertise to Sandia's program management offices, program portfolios, and commercialization efforts to enable the identification of and development of programs important to Sandia's missions. We achieve this through analysis of relevant market drivers, creating and implementing programmatic and technology strategies, executing environmental scans, engaging with federal government and industry, and other program development efforts.
