Job Summary
The Manager, Booking Operations will be responsible for managing and providing thought leadership to the Bookings Operations team members on a day-to-day basis, as well as for the overall accuracy and completeness of bookings data reported as part of the monthly and quarterly close process.
What you'll be doing
Data Exploration, Reporting & Analytics
Mines data within multiple files and systems for patterns, relationships, issues and consistency on a regular basisConfirms data definitions with key stakeholders (including global and regional functional leads, Finance, IT and other functions)Coordinates with the business unit to fix identified data integrity and inconsistency issuesBuilds complex analytics reports, using insights from data exploration, to build comprehensive and advanced analytics reports with visualizations and insightsBrings value to each ask and provides thought leadership on how to develop and use analytics capabilityReaches out to our internal customers (sales teams) to clarify requests, and responsible for exception reviews and escalation to ensure timely resolution of requestsMakes recommendations of what data should be explored and debriefs with client to explain data insights and confirm reportExplains data to clients and prepares them to present data and answer questions DataPerform and oversees recurring audits of data within business systems/platformsPerforms follow-up checks to ensure data quality and accuracy for accounts and/or bookings and churn dataDelivers required data and creates pre-defined reports as per defined scheduleDelivers reports to stakeholder group and answers questions pertaining to the reportPerforms ad hoc modeling and analyses to address complex, open ended issues/questionsMay supervise executive level reports such as quarterly results
Sales Ops Support
Supports sales organization in any and all opportunity management related mattersInvestigates complex issues, serves as escalation point for team members and provides response to sales teams on inquiries as requested, ensuring issue and error resolution in a timely manner
Program Support / Implementation
Oversees team to keep company in compliance with SOX and other statutory requirementsBuilds partnership with SME's and other internal departments (HR, finance, IT, etc.) understand requests, data requirements and constraints, make recommendations and implement solutionsPro-actively Identifies ways to streamline/automate existing and new processes, including end-to-end booking and churn reporting processesCoaches client group to present data and insights to business leaders for better adoption and use of insights
People Management
Develops functional strategy and objectives; Provides leadership and direction to the team, through subordinates, to ensure overall success of the teamProvides support and development opportunities for AnalystsDrives accountability for the performance and results of direct reports and smaller teamsResponsible for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and coaching/developing all team membersResponsible for all hiring decisions and activities including job definition, interviewing, selection, and onboardingResponsible for all employee decisions and activities including compensation, quarterly conversations, performance counseling, coaching, and career developmentEnsures workload is balancedAssesses employee engagement and develops and implements strategies and programs to improve itResponsible for succession planning recommendations and contributing to and driving the people development strategyModels the Equinix Culture and Values
What we'll expect from you
Must be fluent in EnglishLarge experience, with progressive track record, in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or other highly analytical field is requiredExcellent people management skillsSalesforce.com, Siebel requiredXactly/Incent, Tableau & Anaplan experience preferredMicrosoft office skills / Advanced Excel and Power Point requiredBachelor's Degree required
