Position Summary
Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Specialty Benefits Verification Department including benefit verification, securing authorization, activating new patient referrals, co-pay explanation, and pharmacy notification. This position is responsible for ensuring that the services provided by Benefits Verification are client focused and meet the highest standards when interacting with internal and external customers. This position is responsible for the planning and development of new and improved strategies and procedures within Specialty Benefits Verification .
Required Qualifications
Four to six years of related and progressively more responsible work experience including at least two years management experience within Specialty Operations. Demonstrated knowledge of health care, admissions, collections, and information systems along with strong problem solving and customer service skills. This position requires a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with various levels of customers, internal and external. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent decision-making ability. This position must be able to analyze and interpret various financial reports and information for department improvements in areas such as referral and activation statistics. This position must be able to construct viable options and solutions to numerous admissions activities and issues. This position requires the ability to review data, make a determination of impact and risk and determine the best course of action based upon the situation. Ability to work with difficult customers required. Able to handle all situations professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of experience at a manager level.
Education
This position requires a minimum of a four year college degree, or equivalent, preferably in Business or Health Care Administration or related field.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $130,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
