The Manager of Quality Assurance and Compliance (QAC) at Butterfly Effects is a highly visible position in the fast-growing, dynamic ABA autism services industry. This individual will be responsible for the overall daily management of the QA function ensuring company compliance in concert with payor requirements, federal law, and internal policies. The QAC Manager will conduct routine compliance audits of billing records, clinical files, and adherence to select internal policies.
The individual must take a hands-on approach to auditing/compliance tasks and work as a positive contributor to the overall QAC team. They will manage the compliance coordinator team, develop new and update compliance policies under the supervision of the QAC Director, and submit quarterly compliance reports to the executive team in coordination with the QAC Director. In addition, the QAC manager will be responsible for end-to-end investigation of consumer grievances and company initiated internal reviews.
The Manager of QAC will emphasize value through analyzing, assessing, and monitoring operational controls and risks, evaluating policies, procedures, and systems, and making recommendations for improvement where needed.
This position is based out of the corporate office in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing healthcare industry expertise by leading a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization
Effectively lead and support a team of QA Coordinators
Develop, maintain, educate, and enforce Compliance, Quality and HIPAA Privacy Policies & Procedures
Responsible for all medical record requests (payor, governmental, legal and client based)
Serve as a primary main for compliance and auditing issues with payors or government entity
Oversee, conduct, investigate, report and remediate all audits (including Quality, Compliance, and HIPAA Privacy related audits) to ensure all Federal, State, and payor requirements are met
Investigate and respond to complaints regarding alleged breaches of privacy, policy, and Company Code of Ethics
Recommend and implement corrective action plans
Manage and investigate investigation of consumer grievances and company initiated internal reviews
Collaborate with clinical and billing departments to create and uphold best practices and provide internal validation and measurement of performance improvement to mitigate risks
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in providing ABA therapy services, healthcare, or QA or compliance related management role
CHCP and CHC Certifications a plus or willingness to acquire certifications
Demonstrated strong problem solving, logic, and analytical skills
Proficiency in conflict resolution and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Able to efficiently and effectively supervise/oversee multiple QA coordinators
Must be familiar and comfortable with working across multiple online platforms and applications (multiple email inboxes, Central Reach, DOMO, Bamboo, LITMOS, etc.)
