Career Opportunity:
Assist the maintenance department manager by providing administrative assistance. Support maintenance workflow.

What You Need to Succeed:
Maintains daily work order spreadsheets.
Logs incoming materials and machine parts into inventory control software system.
Puts away some incoming parts.
Updates inventory control software with parts used and ensures purchasing reorders low items.
Maintains Preventative Maintenance software system, logs information and aids in scheduling work due.
Assists other MPS facilities with maintenance software selection and implementation
Assists in the development of the PM program
Assists with contractor pricing reviews and scheduling
Tracks direct purchases (field PO’s) and collects receipts.
Maintains department metrics - KPI’s including safety data and work order tracking.
Schedules and prepares agenda for department meetings.
Sets department meetings and appointments.
Answers phones, sorts and distributes mail. Maintains department communications.
Facilitates department workflow - occasionally dispatching emergency repairs.
Works with other facility staff to complete special assignments as needed--for example, researching PM software, writing an evacuation plan, etc.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Associates’ degree preferred; or minimum two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to differentiate between mechanical and electrical issues to aid in work assignments.
Ability to prioritize work to meet production needs.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex instructions, correspondences and memos.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and able to learn CMMS software.
Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including, but not limited to telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping.
Ability to answer the telephone and provide information/assistance to customers.
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors.
Must be able to function with minimal supervision and use independent judgment to achieve assigned objectives.
Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
