Summary:
This is a Temporary position in Bohemia, NY 4-12 weeks. Daily work 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. The maintenance technician will perform basic mechanical duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Perform diversified duties to maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform basic mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Move between functional areas.
Set up and operate at least two automated SMT assembly equipment including but not limited to Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine, Pick and Place Machine, Selective Solder, Agilent 5d-Xray, Automated Router, AOI, Automated Press, Conformal Coat and Underfill.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
0-3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Familiar with and able to use hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
