Together, Momentive Technologies and our customers are reshaping the world.Maintenance TechnicianAs a Maintenance Technician you will be a member of the Richmond Heights maintenance team responsible for maintenance services including troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. You will perform preventative maintenance on all production related equipment.Role and ResponsibilitiesExecute tasks related to the construction, installation, and maintenance of production equipment, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.Demonstrate a proficient understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Possess a solid grasp of electrical systems and adhere to established safe work practices.Procure necessary materials as required for the tasks at hand.Provide training and assistance to fellow team members.Engage in fabrication and assembly work utilizing both hand tools and machine tools.Interpret and work from sketches, patterns, blueprints, and conceptual designs while maintaining accurate records.Work independently, with minimal or no supervision.Operate material handling equipment with precision and care.Uphold a clean and organized work environment, while consistently following safe work practices.Manage supplies and inventories efficiently.Fulfill any other assigned duties as needed.QualificationsSuccessful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.Possesses a substantial 5-year track record working in a heavy industrial setting, or in roles such as maintenance mechanic, millwright, or similar positions within furnace operations.Demonstrates a willingness and ability to commit to an 8-hour workday and a 40-hour workweek.Capable of working in an environment where electromagnetic fields are consistently present.Proficient in the operation of material handling equipment and powered industrial trucks, including forklifts.Comfortable working at elevated heights.Demonstrated experience in the assembly, repair, and fabrication of production and process equipment.Proven hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of process equipment applications within a plant environment.Physically able to lift and carry loads weighing up to 50 lbs., and push or pull loads up to 500 lbs.Able to perform bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, kneeling, and climbing as required.Successful completion of a skills assessment is a prerequisite.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)Proficient in diagnosing furnace issues and implementing corrective actions.Competent in performing comprehensive maintenance tasks, including brickwork, graphite, vacuum system, and plumbing, necessary for furnace rebuilding.Our Maintenance Technicians earn a starting hourly wage of $38.00+.
