This is a full-time, on-site role in New Hyde Park. Monday - Friday.
Salary commensurate with experience (between $20 - $27/hour)

Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities :
Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing damaged infrastructure (windows, doors, walls, locks, etc.)
Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
Respond to emergency maintenance requests
Develop servicing/maintenance schedules with 3rd-Party vendors and supervising 3rd-Party vendors visits to perform pre-emptive maintenance
Keep records of both in-house and 3rd-party repairs and maintenance
Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines, conducting routine safety inspections, and reporting potential safety hazards
Proactively identify and fix potential safety hazards in the building to avoid injuries
Groundskeeping if the facility's lawns or other outdoor areas are in need of maintenance
Paint the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
Provide support to facility related projects
Identify opportunities for process improvement and proposing efficiency enhancements
Provide support to IT related projects (including but not limited to installing and troubleshooting servers, CCTV cameras, switches, WIFI AP, electrical boxes, printers and scanners)
Pull data and voice cabling around the office and building
Facilities Maintenance Technician Necessary Qualifications :
2+ years of maintenance experience relating to HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical
Competent with the use of hand tools, i.e. jigsaw, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers
Ability to follow company processes, procedures, and policies
Ability to work well both independently and on a team, have a can-do attitude, and be willing to learn
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Ability to work OT as needed
Valid and clean NYS Driver's License to operate company vehicles as needed
Maintenance Technician Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work on elevated platforms
Ability to climb ladders
This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions
Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
