Job Description
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the coordination, execution, and management of repairs and/or replacements of facilities assets. The Planner is responsible for the planning and coordination of labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, documentation, access, and any other items necessary for work planning purposes.
Provide accurate and complete planned work packages by maintaining and entering data related to work status, costs, dates, estimates, specifications, drawings, manuals, special procedures, specialized tools into workplace management system.
Develop scopes of work to be performed by contractors/vendors, ensuring to comply with standard guidelines to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Schedule repairs in logical and necessary steps as required to meet deadlines.
Manage contractor performance through periodic inspections of work progress.
Provide stakeholders with schedules that coordinate between Facilities shops, building liaisons, vendors, customers, faculty, staff, client inspectors, State of Florida Inspectors, and any other stakeholders required to complete a work order request.
Work with appropriate stakeholders to coordinate and manage utility and equipment shutdowns required to complete work.
Assist with the annual budget process including identifying capital improvement projects, major operational budget items and the monitoring of Facilities Operations expenditures.
Skills and Requirements
High school diploma
5+ years of experience in a maintenance planner / project manager capacity
Facilities and maintenance background (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, pluming etc) Experience with eBuilder
Bachelors degree
Certifications in maintenance field -
Experience pulling permits null
