Maintenance Manager - Shingle Plant
Position Description
Job Summary
What’s the job?
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading the plant maintenance department to drive manufacturing process improvement / efficiency gains, improve plant safety, maintain product quality, and ensure production equipment uptime through preventative maintenance and corrective equipment maintenance.
Lead the maintenance team to provide technical direction for defining, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes.
Collaborates with plant management to increase equipment utilization employing Continuous Improvement Techniques resulting in improved employee safety, productivity, quality, equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness
Coordinate and direct the facility maintenance team in planning activities which include preventative maintenance programs and facility infrastructure maintenance
Oversees the development, revision, review and approval of all maintenance related Standard Operating Procedures
Develops maintenance metrics and reports, analyze Key Performance Indicators as a means to create and implement corrective actions
Utilize new technology and Lean Manufacturing principles and processes to maximize efficiency
Coach, mentor and develop employees to meet current and future business requirements
Champion the preventative maintenance process
Lead with a steadfast commitment to safety, health and the environment
Required Qualifications
What do you bring?
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and training
Minimum of 7 years of experience
Proven ability in leading maintenance teams
Total Preventative Maintenance experience preferred
Proven ability in problem solving and process management
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
SAP knowledge is preferred
Exposed to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or World Class Manufacturing methodologies and tools
