Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking to fill a new position of Maintenance Manager – Amtrak. We are seeking an individual with Rail Industry maintenance experience to fill this role. Ideally located in the Northeast Corridor of the US to include - Washington DC, Boston, New York, Delaware. Also open to Chicago and Sacramento, Los Angeles, or Oakland as this will support Amtrak sites.
As the Maintenance Manager you will build and lead a Technical Support team to deliver the objectives of high standards in safety, performance, and reliability per the various Technical Support and Spares Agreements (TSSSA). Specific targets are to be aligned with the respective Siemens Project Managers of these TSSSA’s. You will also develop strong and successful relationships with aligned customers’ key stakeholders and ensure the assigned Siemens Field Service team is aligned with supporting both the customers operational goals and Siemens TSSSA targets. The assigned Siemens Field Service team should likewise be aligned with the objectives of the RAMP organization who have the overall fleet reliability responsibility. In this position you will have a team of direct reports and indirect reports that you will supervise and lead nationwide.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Responsible for the Amtrak Field Services team.The Sites and the Field Service team in general should be setup and organized appropriately to meet the demands placed on them from the TSSSA agreements.
Ensure there is clear understanding of the Field Service team expectations throughout the Amtrak Field Service team.
Promote positive collaborative relationships across the team, with customer, RAMP, Projects, Materials departments.
Adopt continuous improvement mentality in how the Amtrak Field Service can operate more efficiently, effectively and driving increased customer satisfaction.
Provide feedback to team regarding performance, quality, and productivity issues.
Provide oversight for performance, training, and career development of site managers and field technicians.
Promote to ensure best practices are shared between sites and shared with other teams.
To thrive in this role, you have:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical field of study preferred. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a combination of education and relevant work experience with the rail industry will be considered.
A minimum of three years of comparable work experience to include maintenance management within the rail industry.
Experience in managing and leading multi-functional teams in a rail environment.
Detailed technical knowledge, theoretical and practical operation of the system and components of rolling stock vehicles.
Solid understanding of maintenance management, familiarity with the locomotive industry, equipment, terminology, and regulatory obligations.
Demonstrated leadership, ability, and initiative.
Well-demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Prior application of continuous improvement techniques and principles.
Familiar with PM@Siemens, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, or other Project Management methodology and terminology.
Familiarity of OSHA Law and Regulations and the Code of Federal Regulations CFR-49

The base salary range for this position in Washington DC is $132,400 - $178,600 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
