Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
Ensure the team is properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
Establish meaningful metrics for maintenance staff that drives efficiency.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for optimal efficiency.
Conduct regular and ongoing inspections of equipment to ensure good working conditions.
Implement work schedules that ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and resources are utilized optimally, in the safest manner possible.
Preventative Maintenance Program:
Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of preventative maintenance activities and ensure accountability for established schedules.
Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers to ensure seamless operations.
Capital Expenditure (Capex) Projects:
Lead and manage Capex projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvements.
Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Complete special assignments as directed by President and Director of Operations.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.
Monitor and control expenses to align with financial goals.
Forecast manhours and parts.
Assist in the budgeting process for all CAPEX projects while tracking actual cost vs budgeted costs.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert in maintenance practices, technologies, and industry standards.
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in maintenance management.
Advise and assist other team members in understanding best practices, safety protocols, and efficient maintenance procedures for all machinery.
Identify opportunities for improvement, cost saving measures, and enhanced equipment reliability.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Conduct frequent safety inspections of plants and equipment, develop, and execute corrective actions as needed.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance management, industrial technology, or a related field required.
Electrical Technician Certification (ETC) preferred.
ASE Advanced Level Certifications preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Minimum of 3-5 year of supervisory or leadership experience within the maintenance field
Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Proficiency in maintenance software and tools.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Project management experience, including Capex projects, is required.
Other:
Must possess valid driver’s license and have, as well as maintain, a clear driving record.
Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/incident testing.
