As Maintenance Lead, your chief responsibility will be to preserve in an excellent condition and operational readiness our facility in Pasadena, Texas. This will include conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment as well. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing approximately 50 pounds. The Maintenance Lead may be asked to assist other Clean Earth facilities from time to time with maintenance related issues in time of need.
Responsible for ensuring all Company safety procedures and safe operating standards are followed by maintenance personnel.
Provide direction and leadership for maintenance personnel and work with Facility management and Supervisors to repair and improve facility maintenance issues.
Place orders for equipment and supplies and coordinate arrangements for 3rd party contract work.
Manage inventory of supplies and parts, ensuring replacements are ordered in a timely manner.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all Transportation equipment as well as facility equipment such as HVAC, forklifts and other related items around the facility.
Conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling, and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment.
Perform tasks for the upkeep of buildings and grounds.
Ensure cleanliness of equipment and regular housekeeping of maintenance areas.
Utilize carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors.
Ability to read manuals to assist in repairs, change filters and belts.
Always maintain a clean and pristine work area.
Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders and perform other assignments to ensure a safe, clean healthy and efficient facility.
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Experience 3+ years in maintenance related field including but not limited to electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems as well as fire safety equipment.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have experience with heavy equipment. Such as forklifts, skid steers, semi-trucks,vacuum tanker & van trailer.
Experience in welding and cutting.
Must pass physical, drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in related field
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and OSHA training.
Must have or be capable of getting aerial boom lift operator certification.
Have OSHA certification for use of Forklift, Confined Space
Entry as well as any other certification for performance of required duties.
Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
