Job Scope:
Maghreb internal auditor will be responsible for executing comprehensive audits across various departments, identifying risks, process improvements, and evaluating adequacy and efficiency of control environment. He will also be testing effectiveness of designed controls to ensure that controls that are in place mitigate risks and ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures. With a keen eye for detail and strong business acumen, Maghreb Internal Auditor will contribute significantly to the company's process efficiency, risk mitigation, and compliance to internal frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Internal audits:Perform audits across Maghreb countries following annual audit plan, including interviewing process owners, reviewing documentation, and testing controls.Prepare audit reports with observations and recommendations for improvement.Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions identified in previous audits.Assess the effectiveness of implemented controls and report on progress made.Send periodic communications on open audit actions.• Controls monitoring:Monitor monthly performance of key internal controls using internal application.Test controls samples to ensure compliance of documentation submitted in internal application.Send periodic communications on controls status.• External audit support:Support external auditors with requests and put them in contact with process and control owners.Participate in update meetings and follow up with process owners.Key Competencies & Skills - Standards of Leadership
Role requirements:Educational backgroundBachelor's/ master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
A certificate in audit would be highly appreciated.Experience needed3 years experience
External audit or internal audit in a FMCG company preferredTechnical skillsOffice package
Understanding of internal controls concepts and accounting.
Business acumen
Sharp and critical thinking
Presentation and analytical skills
Experience with SAP, Power BI and Data analytics tool is a plus.Interpersonal skills requiredWritten and oral fluency in English and French
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and convey ideas and information concisely.
