The successful candidate will join a growing Quality Team at RMS Orlando, and will provide inspection support in our Machine Shop. This position will require the employee to utilize a plethora of precision tools to inspect machined parts to the exacting tolerances called out in the design. The potential candidate is expected to build a strong working relationship with the machinists whose work they will be inspecting to help them consistently meet the production specifications on schedule and budget. Proactivity, high attention to detail and quality of work, and the ability to cooperate professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders are essential traits for success. This position will also afford the opportunity to join one or more continuous improvement teams.

Basic Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge with the set-up and execution of inspection programs on a CMM or Faro arm (or other portable 7-axis CMM).
- Demonstrable ability to recognize bad data sets during an inspection and the knowledge/drive to troubleshoot the operation to ensure good data is recorded.
- Usage of a handheld laser scanner set up and operation
- Detailed familiarity with Camio, PolyWorks, PolyWorks Inspector, and Calypso
- Proven knowledge in the use of height gauges, dial calipers, precision pin sets, protractors (dial and digital), micrometers, scale ruler, angle gauge, and other assorted precision measuring tools.
- The ability to inspect to engineering drawings, model based designs, and blue prints.
- Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to form strong work relationships.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate issues, defects, failures to machinist, area supervisor, manufacturing engineers, and/or design engineers.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity SAP, Renishaw Fixture builder, G-code, or other CAD programming experience are a strong plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
