Key Accountabilities:
Understand and have working knowledge of all equipment and machinery used in all processes, and operations relative to raw fruit, juice, and concentrate processing within the Processing Plant.
Perform pre-op checks of systems before start-up.
Understand the raw material, process, and product flow.
Supervise and coordinate Processing operators and general labor daily activities, according to performance and ability.
Assume Supervisor responsibilities in absence of Supervisor.
Interact with Quality and Maintenance Team Captains and staff to ensure objectives are being met.
Provide coverage and relief of operators and general labor as needed.
Participate in monthly GMP audits and assume responsibility for corrective actions generated during audits
Oversee and ensure all processing, Pre-filter and bulk storage operations are running at optimum efficiency to keep downtime at a minimum.
Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping and cleanliness of plant inside and outside.
Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and preventing mechanical issues.
Communicate operating efficiencies, problematic situations, and downtime to Supervisor.
Ensure all loads delivered to facility have proper documentation.
Ensure all loads leaving facility are loaded properly with correct item numbers and lot numbers of materials or finished goods, and that all BOL’s and documentation pertaining to load is adequate.
Coordinate, participate and monitor the CIP of equipment and other sanitation duties as directed by Supervisor.
Assist inventory control with up to date inventory of raw materials and process aids as needed.
Must be familiar with and monitor all process control points.
Create and submit maintenance work requests as needed.
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and communicated to associates consistently.
Oversee and administer Alchemy training and any other training required to associates.
Have working knowledge and understanding of food safety and food security requirements.
Assist Supervisor in writing and administering performance reviews.
Responsibilities may also include unexpected job duties as required by business needs.
Adheres to and enforce company policies and safety requirements.
Skills Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English
Must be computer literate and familiar with basic functions of Excel, Word programs
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, team player skills and an attitude to excel.
Education and Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.Prior experience in food/ beverage manufacturing.
