Machine Learning, and AI in general, are integral to booking.com's goal of making it easier for everyone to experience the world. At the Performance Marketing department we are developing strategies to reach the right customers at the right time. We are developing high-scale machine learning frameworks that capture customer's intent and introduce them to a journey with Booking.com, and work on mastering our bidding and optimization mechanisms within the competitive space of the digital travel industry.
What You'll Be Doing:
Work in a multi-disciplined, highly skilled team where you'll take full ownership of driving the end-to-end execution of the ML/AI development process, from understanding product requirements, data discovery, model development and evaluation, to implementation of a full production pipeline Approach complex commercial problems and devise machine learning models to deliver both short-term commercial impact and longer-term differentiated business value and customer experience. Work primarily with the Google Cloud Platform, utilizing technologies like Spark, BigQuery , Airflow and state of the art ML frameworks Maintain a highly cross-disciplinary perspective, solving problems by applying approaches and methods from across a variety of ML/AI disciplines and related fields. Continuously evolve your craft by keeping up to date with the latest developments in ML/AI and related technologies and upskilling on these, as needed. Collaborate with a wide range of ML teams across the company to improve, share knowledge and innovate What You'll Bring: At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an applied machine learning scientist, developing scalable machine learning models. Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) Strong working knowledge of big data technologies Strong working knowledge of Python, Spark, SQL or similar technologies. Ability to execute end-to-end research and development plans, and generate impact through large-scale machine learning model development.
