Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Natural Language Processing (NLP) Machine Learning Researcher to join our cutting-edge research team. As an NLP Machine Learning Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of NLP through innovative research, algorithm development, and the application of machine learning techniques focused on autonomy, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization, etc. Your work will have a direct impact on developing state-of-the-art NLP models and systems that address real-world challenges and push the boundaries of language understanding and generation.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct groundbreaking research in the field of Natural Language Processing with a focus on machine learning techniques, including but not limited to neural networks, deep learning, transformers, and other advanced models.
Develop novel algorithms and methodologies for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, text generation, dialogue systems, and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, scope, and methodologies, and contribute to project planning and execution.
Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning by actively participating in conferences, workshops, and relevant academic publications.
Implement and experiment with state-of-the-art NLP models and techniques, adapting them to specific problem domains and datasets including autonomous flight, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization and etc.
Pre-process and curate large-scale text data for training and evaluation purposes.
Analyze and interpret experimental results, and iterate on research strategies based on empirical findings.
Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
Develops ML/DL models operating on our MLOps system that complies with aviation safety requirements
Works with a principal investigator to decompose and partition system requirements to software requirements
Works as a member of the international team with the members in one or more countries where English is the common language
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Extensive experience in designing and implementing NLP models using machine learning techniques, including neural networks and deep learning architectures.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of NLP fundamentals, including but not limited to word embeddings, attention mechanisms, sequence-to-sequence models, and transformers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate research questions, design experiments, and interpret results.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with large-scale data processing, distributed computing, and cloud platforms is a plus.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.
This role requires creativity, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
Proper verbal and written English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master's degree with at least three years of work experience or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
Good to have in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques applied in autonomous driving
Good to have experiences in training or fine-tuning LLM (Large Language Model)
Good to have proven experience in machine learning frameworks or libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc
Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in server engineering like resource management on multi-GPUs over multiple servers
Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in aviation and commercial flight operation
Nice to have field experience on develop and execute manufacturing projects using machine learning techniques to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and improve quality.
Nice to have winning experience in machine learning or data science competition challenges
Nice to have publication records in top-tier machine learning or computer vision conferences
Nice to have your git repository shared with well-organized projects inside
