Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a Machine Learning Researcher based in Seoul, South Korea. The person will develop algorithms, Machine Learning (ML) / Deep Learning (DL) models, and systems for our research projects focused on autonomy, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization, etc. The work scope will also include research on state-of-the-art models in AI.

Job Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains Computer Vision-based Machine Learning (ML) models focused on autonomous flight, aircraft manufacturing, or factory digitalization
Develops ML/DL models operating on our MLOps system that complies with aviation safety requirements
Works with a principal investigator to decompose and partition system requirements to software requirements
Works as a member of the international team with the members in one or more countries where English is the common language
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Self-starter and excellent team player
Applicants must have the enthusiasm to learn new technologies and improve their skillsets
Experience in software development/engineering
In-depth knowledge in Machine Learning/Deep Learning and time-series analysis
Coding experience in more than one programming language (ex: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Javascript, Matlab, and so on.)
Creativity, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
Verbal and written English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Nice to have publication records in top-tier machine learning or computer vision conferences
Good to have experiences in developing machine learning model such as anomaly detection, OCRs, and so on.
Good to have proven experience in machine learning frameworks or libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc
Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in aviation and commercial flight operation
Nice to have winning experience in machine learning or data science competition challenges
This is for an international, locally hired position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country the position is located. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not on Boeing US-based payroll.
