Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience in machine learning.
Experience in profiling and optimizing neural networks (e.g., puring, quantitation, experimental tuning).
Experience collaborating in a research environment and presenting results.
Preferred qualifications:
PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Science.
Experience in deploying neural networks on resource constrained devices (e.g., mobile phones, DSPs, hardware accelerators, embedded devices).
Familiarity with Image Signal Processor (ISP) algorithms.
Familiarity with imaging and color science, and image quality metrics.
Passion for photography.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $157,000-$235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Research and develop state-of-the-art neural-based techniques for raw image processing, reconstruction, image enhancements, generative imaging and computer vision.
Create and benchmark ML models optimized for power, memory and performance on dedicated Pixel cores.
Build processing, augmentation and evaluation pipelines to support ML experiments.
Collaborate with the wider team to define the roadmap and identify new areas of research.
