　　Team Introduction:

　　Our team is dedicated to enhancing clients' shopping experience and reducing operational costs in the supply chain and logistics of TikTok E-commerce by developing end-to-end algorithm capabilities using machine learning, operations research, data mining, and causal inference methods.

　　We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

　　Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below:

　　1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 2024

　　2.May 27, 2024 to August 16, 2024

　　3.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024

　　We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

　　Responsibilities:

　　As a Machine Learning Intern, you will work closely with our experienced team of machine learning engineers and researchers to develop and implement advanced machine learning and deep learning techniques to support marketplace growth in TikTok Shop. Your primary responsibilities will include:

　　- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business problems.

　　- Build deep learning models to generate embeddings for merchants and creators.

　　- Participate in the entire machine learning pipeline, from data collection and preprocessing, feature engineering to model training and evaluation.

　　Qualifications

　　- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research or a related field.

　　- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning libraries such as PyTorch.

　　- Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts and techniques, including feature engineering, model evaluation, and optimization.

　　- Enthusiasm for problem-solving and a proactive attitude to learn new technologies and tools quickly.

　　- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

　　- Prior experience with feature engineering, model training, and data pipelines is a plus.

　　- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
