Avanade's Modern Workplace technology business is responsible for making our Workplace vision a reality through three focused offerings:
Workplace Engineering - modernizing and extend the workplace technology ecosystem to protect against attacks, supporting new ways of working and drive increased business value.
Workplace Data, Apps & Workflow - releasing business value through reimagined culture and employee experience, transforming business operations by reconfiguring how work gets done.
Workplace Managed Services - managing and continuously evolving the workplace technology ecosystem to support new ways of working and deliver increased business value.
Sales and solutioning for these offerings is also supported by a centre of excellence (COE) team that works with global, area (Europe) and regional (UK) offering, sales and delivery leads.
To further grow our portfolio of services and revenues, we are expanding our architectural pre-sales and delivery expertise within the UK Modern Workplace Data, Apps & Workflow team by hiring a M365 Content & Collaborative Applications Architect/Subject Matter Expert (SME).
We are looking for a M365 Content & Collaborative Applications Architect who is experienced in designing, solutioning, and delivering solutions which cover content, content AI, knowledge management, information architecture, teams apps, workflow & automation, by leveraging Microsoft Office 365, Viva, Power Platform and Azure technologies.
You bring valuable experience working with clients in a consulting environment, with solid technical architecture and technical delivery management experience at scale.
You are an experienced trusted advisor at the CIO / Senior IT Stakeholder level working within teams to undertake rapid assessments to define technology roadmaps and strategies.
You have worked with clients and internal teams in a technical pre-sales capacity supporting sales development and proposal response teams with insights, solution approach, technical architecture, estimation and delivery practices.
You have directly managed Technical Delivery activities, Delivery Teams and supervised the work of teams of Technical SME's, providing technical guidance and leadership to achieve objectives.
Responsibilities:
Helping clients realise meaningful business growth through workplace transformation, you will work with account teams to shape, sell and coordinate the delivery of propositions that address client challenges in the areas of workplace strategy, workplace transformation, business operations optimisation and reimagined employee experience.
You will also have the chance to:
Understand business drivers, agree the optimum approach, and develop pragmatic, deliverable and sustainable Workplace solutions and roadmaps that allows clients to address their business needs and leverage the best value out of their Microsoft investments.
Provide subject matter expertise in relation to workplace applications for workforces within our priority industry segments, alongside workflow management redesign and automation solutions to help optimize front and back-office business processes.
Contribute to the development and evolution of future focused workplace and organisation transformation propositions and solutions.
Support the selling and implementation of workplace experience propositions in response to market demand and digital trends.
Assist senior team members with sales efforts including development of client proposals and pitch mechanics. Delivering sales presentations to clients and responding to RFPs.
Lead client engagements as a Technical Delivery Lead, responsible for the successful delivery of M365 solutions.
Coordinate and leverage offshore resources.
Your skills:
Significant experience architecting and supporting sales of application-focused workplace solutions spanning underlying cloud infrastructure, low-code/no-code-platforms, rich-client applications as well as employee experience and business improvement.
Workplace content and knowledge management strategy, security and governance underpinned by Microsoft Office 365.
Sales and/or end to end solution design accountability and track record for $1M+ digital transformation deals with demonstrable innovation and value creation.
Expertise in developing and transforming content-based solutions for information workers encompassing information architecture, content migration, governance and control, including the use of enterprise workflow and business process automation tools.
Knowledge of front line/customer facing worker applications for at least one of the following industry segments (Banking, Insurance, Retail, Manufacturing, Energy, Health Services Provision, Public Sector and Utilities).
Experience of Agile Methodologies within Software Development.
Appreciation of Microsoft's industry Clouds, Copilot, GenAI and the Metaverse topics.
Experience of working within a matrixed business spanning consulting and technology services and onshore/nearshore/offshore delivery centres.
