What is the job about?
Grundfos CBS Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join its Logistics team. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for all activities and employees in shipping, stock transfer and kitting areas. The Logistics Supervisor reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the shipping of all production leaving our campus, providing our customers with the most cost-effective transportation of products from our facilities. The Logistics Supervisor reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
Your main responsibilities:
Recruit, train, lead, and oversee the shipping team, comprising shipping coordinators, stock transfer, and kitting personnel.
Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient product shipments to customers, consistently meeting or surpassing key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, quality, and delivery.
Maintain the employee job skills matrix and training plans, ensuring team members are well-trained and adhere to work instructions and procedures.
Address departmental nonconformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance overall quality.
Lead daily action meetings for the department and actively participate in leadership and supply chain daily action meetings.
Review and approve all PTO and vacation requests, while monitoring attendance in adherence to the company's attendance policy.
Initiate requisitions for consumables, tools, or materials required by the shipping team.
Conduct annual employee performance and development reviews in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with stakeholders to address shipping-related inquiries or issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Drive daily 5S and continuous improvement activities within the department.
Accountable for end of day close of area is complete following proper procedure.
Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure the Company remains a safe workplace.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 2 years supervisory experience or High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 5 years supervisory experience. Minimum of 5 years Logistics experience in a computerized environment required.
Knowledge of business metrics to drive performance.
Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
Experience working in SAP or similar ERP system.
Possession of a forklift license and experience in the use of lifting equipment, including crane lift rigging required.
APICs CSCP, CPIM, CLTD preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Bilingual- English and Spanish preferred
