Our Bismarck, ND Terminal is immediately hiring a logistics Outbound Dock supervisor
Job Description:
Up to $65,000
Shift is Monday through Friday (shift length will vary depending on work load)
Loading and unloading of trailers using proper equipment - dolly, forklift, etc.
Load planning
"Protecting" of freight to avoid damage
Abiding by and enforcing all company safety policies
Accurate reporting of all paperwork, including bills of lading and manifests
Takes direction from terminal manager
Supervises unloading/loading freight, safety procedures, proper paperwork handling, etc.
Direct the handling of freight from the time it is received, to the time it leaves, and ensure that it is in the right place at the right time.
Communicate clearly with other dock workers and drivers, employees at other terminals and with customers who come to pick up their freight.
Dispatches city pick ups
Inform Terminal Manager in daily meeting of any incidents or issues.
Handle OSD paperwork
Contact customers via phone as needed
Various other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment
1 year minimum Supervisory experience in either trucking or other transportation
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both staff and customers
Ability to work under pressure
Familiar with HAZMAT regulations, OSHA regulations and other regulatory bodies
Forklift experience required/ Warehouse experience a plus
