Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:
•Direct and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment
•Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels
•Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
•Collaborate with TEC Global Logistics (GLOG) and third-party logistics providers to negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and optimize service levels and costs
•Evaluate vendor performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards
•Streamline the supply chain by analyzing and optimizing transportation routes, warehouse layout, and inventory levels to meet customer demands efficiently
•Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
•Monitor delivery performance and inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics to ensure operational excellence
•Ensure compliance with international regulations related to logistics, transportation, and supply chain management
•Develop and manage the logistics budget, monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving initiatives
•Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the logistics operations to increase efficiency and accuracy
•Implement best practices and industry standards to continuously improve logistics processes and procedures
Key Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Proven experience as a Logistics Operations Manager or in a similar managerial role within the logistics or supply chain industry
•Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
•Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize operations and address challenges effectively
•Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including China customs related issues and compliance related to logistics and supply chain management
•Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in operations
•A proactive approach with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
•Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and planning operations.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
•The ability to negotiate and influence the actions of others to achieve business goals.
•Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English
•Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent Materials Resource Planning systems
