What do you do as a Project Management Officer (PMO)
We are looking for a skilled PMO colleague to establish the PMO function and drive synergies in project approach across projects. You will report to the Head of Project Management and work closely with the central team of project managers.
What you do on a typical day Establish Project Management Office function Maintain good overview of all projects and total project portfolio. Ensure that data regarding status, reporting, prioritization, selection, classification are up to date and plausible Own and embed project management approach (methods, processes, standards, tools, templates) to best suit the needs of project managers and project stakeholders Set standards for project (resource) planning, scoping, project progress, progress reporting, budget tracking across projects Support Head of PM in team resource planning & monitoring.Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation/project delivery capability and sharing of best practices across projects Act as first line of support for project community Facilitate meetings and workshop arrangements, including collating agendas and materials, booking facilities, coordinate participants, etc.

What you need to succeed at GXO Bachelor or Master's degree in business or comparable discipline A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role Self-motivated, logical thinker, fast learner, pragmatic, and confident Recognized project management qualification (e.g., Prince2, PMCore, PMP, PMI-ACP) and/or good knowledge and understanding of project management methods and best practices Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain appropriately at several levels of the organization Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization
