Description
The Localization Instructional Designer will be responsible for localizing and creating training content for China. The training content will consist of instructor-led, self-directed, virtual, and eLearning training materials as well as assessments, job aids, and other performance improvement solutions. Localizing content means making it relevant for specific business operating units and in some cases translating the content into the target language (Chinese). In cases where training content doesn’t already exist, the Localization Instructional Designer will be expected to partner with Program Team members and Subject-Matter Experts to conduct training needs analysis, develop training materials and implement an assessment and evaluation strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Localize training content for Chinese Associates supporting various Amazon Global Selling Stores.
• Partner with program managers to scope program needs, training and language differences for target operating units and audiences.
• Design and Develop – using instructional design models (ISD-ADDIE, SAM, Agile) to localize blended learning curricula for Amazon Seller Support programs.
• Conduct training discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject-Matter Experts, including necessary front-end analysis to clearly define program and training outcomes, solutions, and success measures.
• Design and develop – instructor guides, participant materials, assessments, eLearning, and job aids.
• Adapt existing learning content to make it relevant for new target audiences.
• Manage and maintain all delivery media and eLearning application software.
• Manage and maintain training content in the Learning Management System and other online repositories.
• Manage and onboard internal customers on training related changes.
• Present/train the content to trainers in train-the-trainer sessions as needed.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience in learner experience design or instruction design. Including conducting training need analysis, accessing training content effectiveness, developing solutions that positively impact learner performance, through independent project management in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing and managing training projects for cross-regional teams.
