Liquidity & Account Solutions (L&AS) Business Management provides analytical, strategic and operational thought leadership to the business. The Business Management team sits under the Global Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function of the firm and supports a business which plays a critical role in the infrastructure and capabilities that enable money movement globally. The team is engaged in both supporting BAU business objectives, as well as shaping the go-forward strategic vision of the business, working with a wide range of product, line of business and functional partners.
As an Analyst on the Business Management team, you will be uniquely positioned to gain exposure to a global business. We are looking for a candidate that can collaborate globally across a diverse set of stakeholders and geographic locations in a dynamic environment. This will have visibility into the CEO of the business, while having the opportunity to learn about complex products and delivering on key priorities. In this role you will work with business leads, responsible to explain financial performance and drivers of revenue and expenses for their respective products and advise on how best to execute on strategic and tactical goals. You will rely heavily on MS Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and craft narratives based on real-life activity to tell a story.
Job Responsibilities
Provide analytical support to the Liquidity & Account Solutions management team and CFO
Support business heads through budgeting, forecasting and expense management targets
Organize complex information in a clear and compelling way into management-ready materials
Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive level ad-hoc requests, including presentation development, business analysis, and financial updates
Develop a rich understanding of our product suite and infrastructure, including drivers of revenue, capabilities vs. industry/customer needs and business priorities
Own current-state processes and identify weaknesses, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Take end-to-end ownership of projects and independently work with the business to drive, socialize, and implement solutions
Build effective relationships and work closely with F&BM colleagues across JPM Payments, Corporate & Investment Bank and Commercial Bank
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
Background - 2+ years of experience within Financial Services. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
Problem solving - Pro-active and intuitive thinker focused on asking the right questions to improve the status quo and implement solutions
Communication - Excellent written and oral communication skills
Partnership - Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills; team player
Technical and analytical skills - Analytical mindset self-starter with a desire to understand both the big picture and the details. Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Content development - Interested in strengthening ability to deliver high-quality presentations and reporting
Organizational skills - Effective time management skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple competing priorities and deliverables
