In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter.

   

  This is a contingent position based upon customer approval. 

  Position Details and Responsibilities

  Skyepoint Decisions is seeking a Linux Tools Engineer to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. 

   

  This position will work a rotating hybrid schedule in Beltsville, MD. WEEK 1 - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote WEEK 2 - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

   

  What you’ll do:

  Provide Linux and cyber tools administration and Tier 2 support across a range of systems spread globally.Maintain Ansible playbooks for rapid deployment of updated containers.Maintain and leverage Satellite server for distributed RHEL patching.Develop and maintain process documentation regarding Linux administration and patching.Assist in updating of IDS definitions.

  Qualifications

  Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must at minimum meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: 

  Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience. US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret.Must be able to work a hybrid schedule. Possess or obtain before start date one of the following certifications:CASP+, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA, CCNP Security, Security+, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GISCP, or PMP.Experience using and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8. Experience patching and updating Red Hat systems. Experience deploying Red Hat hosts from scratch. Familiarity with basic Linux directory structure.  Log locations Preferred program installation locations Bash shell scripting is definite. Not just running a script but writing basic scripts. Comfort running Ansible playbooks and scripts. DISA STIGs or any kind of hardening knowledge/experience. Ability to work and troubleshoot issues without guidance before escalating.  Experience using Red Hat Satellite. Experience with SCAP tools. Writing/modifying Ansible playbooks. Basic networking experience and knowledge (OSI Layers, firewalls, switches/routers, etc.) Basic hardware knowledge and experience troubleshooting/replacing hardware. Creating and maintaining virtual machines, VMWare preferred. Must be a US citizen.
