Lake Life Hospitality Group/dba/Zorbaz Pizza and Mexican Restaurant is looking to fill Line/Prep Cook positions at their restaurants located at 402 West Lake Drive., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 and at their locations in Spicer, Lake Shore, Battle Lake, and Alexandria. These are temporary, full-time positions and we are looking to fill approximately 9 job openings for employment from 04/01/2024 to 09/30/2024. Phone: (218)847-8932. Job Duties: Restaurant team member to perform any task related to daily operations, not limited to but including the following: cooking, food running, bussing, dishwashing, and janitorial services. Our kitchen team needs to be organized and efficient. Staff will be creating a daily prep list of all our house-made ingredients. They will assist with plating dishes and completing basic food prep tasks for the restaurant. Shifts will start promptly at scheduled time. The Line/Prep cook will be prepping and cooking the following items: Nachos, quesadillas, guacamole, soups, salads, pizzas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, beans and rice. Employer is offering 35 hours per week; 9:00 am 3:00am at a rate of $16.26/hr. Days/Shifts will vary. Holidays, weekends, and evenings required as needed. Employer is offering up to 15 hours of overtime available per week, as needed but not guaranteed. Overtime is paid at a rate of $24.39/hr for working greater than 40 hours in any given week. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker, in their sole discretion, based on performance, skill, tenure, or experience. First week of employment will include at least 35+ hours of paid on the job training. Job Requirements: No training, education, or experience required. Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Housing: Optional Employer Housing provided to the worker for $500/month Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used for computing wages due and workers will be paid every 2 weeks. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.
