Practice Group
The global Funds and Investment Management team is made up of integrated funds, tax and regulatory specialists who are essential to a successful fund transaction.
The group acts for both sponsors of and investors in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, credit, and hedge funds, as well as clients on fund secondary transactions, fund restructurings, liquidity events and other fund related transactions. The team has extensive experience with fund manager arrangements, including carried interest and manager structuring asset manager M&A, spinouts, and investment management agreements.
Our Private Equity practice is a highly integrated, multi-disciplinary group of lawyers who know how to get deals done. Collaborating across our global network, we provide clients with seamless service and deep industry experience, often on complex mandates involving multiple specialties and jurisdictions. Position Summary
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our London office to support our Private Equity Group, specialising in Funds. You should have strong academic credentials and a genuine interest in Private Equity and Funds. Prior experience as a Paralegal within an Investment Funds team is highly desirable. You should also be ambitious and passionate about work, ready for the challenges of working in a global law firm, service-minded with strong interpersonal skills and able to work in team.

Duties and Accountabilities
Provide direct support to individual practitioners to assist them with transactional and advisory legal work including: project management. liasing with clients on closing and administrative processes; subscription form processes. research. administrative support. preparing document bibles. drafting ancillary documents, including non-disclosure agreements and release letters. transactional support work streams, including KYC and funds flow mechanics. preparing client facing updates on transaction progress; and signing, closing and post-completion support to fee-earners Assisting with areas of practice development as and when required including: Maintaining databases of client contacts. Maintaining on-going live document bibles for clients; and Assistance with collating billing financial information. Conduct research on legal developments or new areas of law relevant to the Group.
Essential Job Requirements and Qualifications
Prior paralegal experience within a Funds and/or Privateq Equity team is highly desirable. High professional standards. Hardworking, resilient team player with ability to work long hours where necessary and ability to operate under pressure. Excellent drafting and research skills. Well-developed organisational and communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels. Pragmatic, self-motivated, flexible, and able to work both in team and individually as required. Willingness to take on additional tasks as and when required. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, ideally experience of iManage/document management systems.
Location & Reporting
This is a London based role. This role reports to the London Funds and Private Equity Partners.
