The Leasing Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and future tenants.
Responsibilities:
Fields and responds to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants. Works to persuasively present information to prospects on housing properties to create applications.
Negotiates lease offers; executes and explains leases and related documents to future tenants. Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy.
Works with underwriting and leasing writing teams to channel applicants through the leasing process. Maintains up to date knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (I2P2)
Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
Handles various other duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
State Real Estate License required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills.
Strong relationship management, organizing and customer service skills.
Must be able to meet multiple deadlines.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to implement process improvement changes.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to pay close attention to details.
Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
· This position performs typical office or administrative work.
· This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
· May occasionally be required to work overtime.
