  Job Description

  The Learning Creation Lead is the leader of a global multidisciplinary team responsible for executing the end-to-end learning experience creation process within their assigned portfolios. This Lead oversees the work of the Learning Creation team that includes the design and development of learning experiences that build workforce capability, accelerate talent development, improve performance, and achieve business goals and/or the mitigation of business risk. The Lead ensures all learning creation begins with understanding client issues, defining the required learning and business outcomes, aligns to learning content and learning strategies. This lead will conduct learning analysis and development of learning blueprints, ensure seamless creation of high-level learning designs, learning journeys, and the detailed design and development of unique learning assets across all learning methodologies and technologies for assigned catalogues. Their accountability includes 2 Divisions or Enterprise portfolios for the organization. They engage and collaborate with aligned client facing team members and key stakeholders to ensure the successful, timely delivery of learning strategies and experiences that achieve agreed-upon learning and performance outcomes. In addition, the Lead oversees the work of vendor partners sourced to design and/or develop learning assets in support of overall business goals.

  Responsibilities

  Leverages business fluency and design thinking to analyze work, worker, and workplace to determine most effective learning strategies that are learner-centric, outcomes focused, based in learning science, scalable, innovative, and inclusive.Leads a team of internal designers, developers as well as externally sourced talent or vendors to execute the end-to-end learning experience creation process across all learning methodologies and technologies.Leads or facilitates design thinking sessions and focus groups assessing learner/persona skill gaps to construct learning blueprints with effective scalable learner experiences and high-level designs clearly defining instructional objectives and alignment of learning modalities and methodologies to desired outcomes. Considers relevant issues specific to the learner population, and supports business unit, technology and deployment constraints and capabilities.Partners closely with business stakeholders and business-aligned learning professionals to drive discovery and analysis of prioritized portfolio needs, ensuring appropriate data and insights are collected and assessed to drive the development of an effective learning strategy that is documented in learning blueprints and/or high-level designs of recommended learning experiences.Articulates learning experience strategy, aligning learning experience design to enterprise and divisional experience maps, leveraging appropriate existing blueprints where available, and creating and updating learning blueprints and/or high-level designs when necessary.Accountable for the quality and speed of design and development for all learning content within their assigned portfolios, ensuring that all content meets the design, business and learning requirements that will deliver the needed skills and capabilities.Conducts internal & external research by development area and/or topic to inform the creation of the learner experience.Applies expert stakeholder engagement and risk management to ensure successful, timely delivery of the intended learning experience in support of business priority.Builds trusted relationships with the business and business-aligned learning professionals to clarify business needs and goals and influence stakeholders to ensure delivery of learning that will result in desired outcomes aligned with our learning model.Accountable for defining the measurement strategy for learning experiences that will measure the efficacy, relevancy, and ROI of the learning.Collaborates with Catalog Manager and Product Managers to ensure health of the experiences in the catalog.Partners closely with the Learning Experience Lead reporting on the status of prioritized portfolio work and identifying potential synergies to drive efficiencies and reduce redundant effort and spend.Oversees quality and integrity of solutions throughout learning creation's end to end workflow, including learner journeys by persona aligned to blueprints and/or high-level designs.Updates/iterates authored blueprints based on measurement data and insights.Leads and/or participates in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

  Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  Required:

  Bachelor's degree in Instructional systems, learning technologies or other related discipline10 years of related experience (6+ with master's degree)8 years' experience as an experience Designer/lead of learning solutions to drive mindset, skill and behavior change to achieve business outcomesDemonstrated instructional design and learning science expertise applied to live, virtual, online, social, adaptive and in the flow continuous learning experiencesAbility to leverage innovative digital learning technologies and scalable user interfaces for web and mobile learning experiencesDemonstrated application of UI design and design thinking principles to analyze learner/persona capability gaps the develop learning systems or blueprintsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to co-create, collaborate, and build trusted partnerships and business stakeholders and lead project-based teamsDemonstrated data and insights driven decision making.Ability to work in a fast-pace, iterative environment and apply Agile mindset and methodologies.Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, continuous improvement capabilityAbility to guide / mentor experience developers and troubleshoot issuesAbility to assess capability, evaluate and measure value and business impactStakeholder analysis and management, change managementBusiness acumen and ability to rapidly learn business and cultural contexts

  Preferred:

  Master's degree in instructional systems, learning related fieldExperience as an Experience Designer of dynamic learning solutions and role curriculumPharmaceutical or healthcare industry experienceExperience working globallyPossess a continuous learning attitude towards technology and finding new ways to leverage it

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.   Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $118,640.00 - $186,800.00
