The Learning & Development Specialist works to create and implement strategies that support employee engagement and a place of development, growth, recognition and continuous learning. Serving as our in-house Instructional Designer, you will lead efforts to develop and cultivate a learning curriculum for PDL employees, using both external offerings and newly created content. This role will regularly track and review our talent and succession landscape and ensure that appropriate developmental opportunities exist for our potential/high potential talent at PDL. This role also plays a vital role in performance management (annual and continuous), the administration of regular associate engagement measurement and other HR program initiatives.
Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the roles:
Apply adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain high quality leadership and organizational development programs and content. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, PDL Leadership, and key partners to conduct a learning needs assessment to identify corporate learning gaps and opportunities. Obtain certifications and facilitate learning activities for employees and leaders at Peapod Digital Labs, including third party programs. Lead activities around creation and execution of Individual Development Planning activities across PDL.Alongside the Lead, Talent & Learning, work to identify and address leadership, talent and capability gaps and organizational change support needs. Lead efforts on creation of standards, execution, tracking and reporting on various talent programs across Peapod Digital Labs and Ahold Delhaize. Support associate engagement activities, including the serving as lead for PDL on annual Associate Engagement Survey, feedback action planning, and reporting of results.Serve as point of contact for organizational HR data, ensuring that we able to use HR systems information in an efficient and effective way to enable data-driven decisions and clarity.
The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years in a corporate Learning / Talent Development role ideally having responsibility for HR project/program management. Expertise in using eLearning authoring tools. Knowledge of adult learning theories and principles. Strong facilitation skills in various settings, from small group meetings to large development eventsExperience coaching others in professional development goalsExperience in people data analysis; able to simplify many data attributes into a message that can be shared across leadership.
