  Description:

  We are looking for an exceptional candidate for our Pre-SalesTechnical Architecture team with a broad set of technically-oriented programming skills and experience in pre-sales or customer-forward roles serving as a trusted advisor on technology approaches. We interact across the business with technical and business teams, architects, C-Level executives, and key decision makers as we work with companies in rapid growth mode and with a diverse set of issues, which means we need to operate quickly and with agility. This is a highly technical and customer-facing role with most of its impact focused on the success of our customers. We look for technical professionals from a variety of backgrounds who are as comfortable explaining enterprise architectures to their grandmothers as they are to CIO's of enterprise corporations. The Lead/Principal Technical Architect will act as a domain expert on the Salesforce suite of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) products. Candidates will bring significant current expertise in software development and solutions architecture. Experience with Salesforce products, Salesforce Lightning, Heroku, cloud computing, security, and identity is also of interest.

  The role of a Lead/Principal Technical Architect is to work with our sales teams and customers to:

  Understand a customer's enterprise architecture landscape and/or technical business requirements through technical discoveryPartner with customers to develop a vision for their future on the Salesforce platformEducate customers on various technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, how other technologies integrate and interact with the platform, and how Salesforce products can positively impact their business goalsScale the role through external and internal education and enablement effortsLead hands-on technical workshops and education sessions including webcasts & presentationsAttain quarterly and annual objectives such as deal contributions, field enablement and closed revenue

  Having fun and getting out of your comfort zone technically on a daily basis while actively engaging and leading strategic sales engagements, both technical and business focused to build winning, differentiated solutions and value.Constantly learning, absorbing new information daily, and having a keen focus on how to best discuss complex, technical problems with customers.Part of a highly motivated sales team who are fanatical about our customers' success.Comfortable working with clients at all levels - it is just as important to work with the front line as the CIO and CTO and from startups to enterprise customers.Adding to our broader team's point of view and base of knowledge and understanding.Work with internal sales teams to determine appropriate account development plans and execute on the best strategy to engage customers and prospects in support of defined sales cycles.Articulate the benefits of our cloud based architecture to customers and prospects as they look to transform their business and create new experiences for their constituents.Evangelize the benefits of the Salesforce Customer360 Platform and conduct technical workshops and education sessions to position that value.Expertly present Salesforce technology, application development, infrastructure, security and integration capabilities and how they can be leveraged to best outcome for the customer within business domains such as HR, IT Services, Sales, Marketing, Patient and Member Services and Enterprise Operations.Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (e.g. alliances, sales effectiveness, product marketing, etc.) to develop and execute internal and external programs and initiatives.Participate in required product, sales, procedural, and certification training to maintain, grow, and acquire the knowledge necessary to effectively present the value of our solutions.Support the build and presentation of customized demos highlighting technical capabilities and innovation available on the Salesforce platform and mapped directly to business capabilities.Attain quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives assigned by management.Build relationships with key stakeholders, such as IT Director, HR Directors, Chief Human Resource Officers (CHROs), Corporate Service Directors and work with them to shape their digital transformation journey.Articulate the value proposition of Salesforce Employee Service Delivery, and share how Salesforce customers are leveraging Salesforce to deliver an enhanced employee experience to their workforce.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  B.S. Computer Science, EE, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience.Evidence of strong impact in customer-facing work is near-mandatory, but can come from a variety of places. Experience working as an architect, solution engineer or consultant in a customer facing role where business acumen and technical differentiation are key to success in the role.Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer or equivalent, preferably in the CRM space is a plus.Experience with cloud, SaaS, PaaS, aPaaS, and IaaS concepts and technologies.Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments.Some domestic travel is required, post-COVID.Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.

  For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $181,510 to $242,830.

  For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,060 to $220,850.

  For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,060 to $242,830.

  For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $181,510 to $242,830.

  Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
