　　Within Rapid7's Marketing Department, the Web Development & Operations team is dedicated to the ongoing construction and maintenance of www.rapid7.com, our primary marketing website and docs.rapid7.com, our product documentation website, both of which are critical digital resources for both our customers and prospects alike.

　　Rapid7 is presently assembling a new development team in our Prague office to rebuild our flagship marketing website on a modernized marketing technology stack to better support the ambitious digital strategy being developed by our digital marketing teams.

　　About the Role

　　Rapid7 is looking for a Lead Web Engineer to join the Web Development & Operations team as it continues to grow and advance the organization's digital strategy and technologies. We need a team player with solid web development skills to ensure high quality delivery of experiences to both customers and prospects. The ideal candidate is someone who can contribute to a team tasked with delivering robust technical solutions, solving system and business problems and implementing world class digital experiences.

　　In this role, you will:

　　Participate in projects from start to finish including technical requirements gathering, data modeling and deploymentBe involved in driving the design and planning of upcoming featuresParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior developersAssist and in some cases lead operations staff in troubleshooting environment issuesWork on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively to meet our stakeholders' delivery expectations.Detailed design, development and unit / integration testing utilizing the appropriate methodologies, technology and toolsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and business needs; communicate technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate effectively with design, QA and content/brand team membersMaintain technical excellence in the execution and the delivery of implementations of varying scopeIndependently estimate and manage assigned tasks

　　The skills you'll bring include:

　　8 to 10 years of experience with back end development on web sites/applications including including 3-5 years working with a content management systemRecent experience with headless/decoupled architectures and related CMS platforms is highly desirable5 to 7 years of experience with JavaScript development preferably back end/server-sideExperience with various web application architectures and technologies and a solid understanding of current front end web technologiesFrontend development will not be required of this role but an understanding of modern web technologies/architecture is a must.Comfortable implementing and interacting with REST web servicesFamiliarity with infrastructure design, devops and version control (git) within an Episerver environmentExcited by technology, curious and eager to learn, with the ability to mentor more junior members of the team
