Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead Test Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) drive Department-wide business reform by integrating transportation and financial processes at the transaction level to optimize financial management of the Transportation of Things that support the Department of Defense financial auditability requirements and closing identified auditability gaps. USTRANSCOM is seeking a multifaceted solution consisting of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities and Policy changes as well as the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).
Primary Responsibilities
The Lead Test Engineer is responsible for examining system requirements, concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to create evaluation and test plans. They prepare for and carry out data collection and analysis, and then report on the status and results. Additionally, the test engineer actively participates in the software development process to contribute to the test plan and assess the quality of software components. The primary role of the Lead Test Engineer involves identifying and addressing software flaws, such as bugs, errors, failures, breakdowns, and risks, to ensure the effective performance of developed systems. This includes analyzing the context of software systems and applying various testing types and levels (component, integration, system, and acceptance tests) across different software development models. The Lead Test Engineer conducts static tests for detection, correction, and improvement, followed by the preparation of evaluation and incident reports. Furthermore, they collaborate with the team, influencing members in matters related to solution design, process, and quality approaches.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
10 years relevant experience leading testing functions for large, complex systems.
Experience/familiarity with DoDI 5000.89, Test and Evaluation.
Strong SAP S4/HANA expertise
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms (or equivalent Freight Management Systems (FMS)/Transport Management Systems (TMS).
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), can be a plus.
Experience with automated testing solutions and methods.
Experience with test management within Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar configuration control tool.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
