Join us at GE Additive as an Expert Technical Support Engineer. We're leaders in Additive Manufacturing, seeking a skilled individual to provide advanced troubleshooting and solutions for our global customers.
As the Expert Technical Support Engineer, you will be the driving force behind fault finding, root cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting of our products, with a special focus on EBM technology. You will act as the first point of escalation for complex process and material-related service cases. In this role, you will establish best practices, faultfinding methods, and provide guidance to our Field Service Engineers, contributing to the overall success of our service offerings.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead advanced troubleshooting, focusing on EBM technology.Be the top escalation contact for process and material-related cases.Define faultfinding methods for FSEs.Professionally engage global customers.Collaborate with the Regional Service Team on escalated cases.Act as a resource for the entire Service team.Support Field Service Engineers with training.Create content for training and service materials.Analyze field cases for systemic issues.Lead advanced fault finding using 8D method.Provide third-level customer support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Material Science Engineering or equivalent on-the-job experienceProficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.Understanding of additive manufacturing and service business.Strong communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in English; Swedish/German a plus.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Effective problem-solving abilities.Project management and collaboration skills.
