Job Summary
The Technical Lead / Systems Engineer will be based in Hollis, New Hampshire. We are seeking an experience, highly collaborative, hands-on Development Engineer to join our talented and dynamic product development group and play a critical role in creating the next generation of advanced medical technologies.
What a typical day looks like:Work on an exciting range of products - connected health wearables, new technology therapy systems, surgical robotic systems - with both early stage startups and Fortune 100 medical device companies.Be the system technical lead on complex projects in a fast paced and intelligent team environment using a systems level approach to product design.Conceptualize, investigate, and develop innovative product architectures and electro-mechanical system designs through verification and design transfer.Be responsible for technical aspects of programs, ensuring that design content and deliverables are accurate and that they meet or exceed our client's requirements.Create and manage product requirements, architectures, risk management, test strategies, and system integration.Contribute to program plans, schedule, and resourcing strategy.Collaborate with industrial design, user interface, human factors, mechanical, electrical, software, and quality teams to create exceptional product designs.Deliver compelling presentations to clients and internal teams to communicate design approach, value, tradeoffs, and recommendations.Guide the team to create robust design solutions using CAD, analysis software, and lab equipment, prototyping, and evaluation.Support business development engagements by leading capability presentations and technical discussions, program strategy and proposal creation, and networking.The experience we are looking to add to our team:Bachelors degree in Engineering (mechanical, biomedical, electrical, software, or similar).10+ years of product development experience, 3+ years project systems leadership with a mix of early-stage design, full development, and new product introduction, including medical devices.Highly collaborative attitude and developed interpersonal and communication skills.Hands-on experience developing electromechanical devices and leading teams to develop innovative designs, resolving design challenges, and producing high quality deliverables.Demonstrated experience being the lead for project planning, system and sub-system requirements development and management, architecture generation, risk management, systems integration, and test strategies.Working knowledge of the following areas with a strength in at least oneElectrical sub-systems and technologies - communications, power, processing, actuation, sensors, etc.Mechanical design, various manufacturing and assembly techniques including plastic part design, metal fabrication, extrusions, plastic joining, etc.Software/firmware development and technologiesWorking knowledge of medical device standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1, IEC 61010-1, IEC 62304, etc.Here are a few of our preferred experiences...Experience using requirements management tools - such as DOORs, Polarion, Jira, etc.Statistical analysis methodologiesFamiliarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Here are a few examples of what you'll get for the great work you provide...Full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits401K MatchingBonus planLife InsurancePaid time offTuition ReimbursementJob Category
