Manage regional suppliers in accordance with GE Aerospace policies. Achieve best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Apply comprehensive understanding of sourcing concepts and principles to achieve desirable outcomes for internal stakeholders and customers within the local region. Utilise strong knowledge of purchasing concepts to drive optimum supplier performance. Assist some legal related tasks including signature/seal process and external law firm coordination from sourcing perspective
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide coordination and leadership in procurement activities for assigned regionConduct due diligence and approve new vendors.Lead escalation related to PO execution, on time delivery and relationships with suppliers.Proactively work with global sourcing team as well as suppliers to improve On Time Delivery to target levelsAchieve lowest possible total cost for material and service, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needsEvaluate current and anticipated requirements, determine potential sources, obtain bids, and plan programs to meet business needsPresents to senior leaders in specific purchasing space and on cross functional teams on how sourcing contributes to overall strategyAdvises functional managers of other functions regarding approaches, processes, procedures and progressesDrives continuous improvement initiatives within the Sourcing functionIdentify and deliver value-adding opportunities for the businessIdentify and lead processes enhancementLead cost out, localization, source optimization projects within SourcingLead supplier performance reviews with supplier focal and leadershipProvide analytical data and lead implement improvement planAchieve personal and functional targets with robust strategy developmentWork closely with other functions (e.g. Finance) to ensure cross functional alignment with all projects and initiatives and to help business achieve targetsComply with company policy and process including but not limit in Sourcing, Compliance, Commercial, Quality, Production, EHS, HR, Lean, etc.Other tasks assigned by organizational or functional leader(s).Support signature/seal process including proper maintenance of related tools and rulesAssist in contacting, collaborating with, and preparing documents with external law firmsManage board and shareholders meeting logistics, attend and record minutes of all board and shareholders meetings, facilitate board communicationsArrange and manage issuance of POA/DOAs
Qualifications/ Requirements:
This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Supplier management. Bachelor's/Engineering degree from an accredited university (with at least 5 years of experience in a Sourcing role)Negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Strong quantitative and analytical skills; strong PC skills.Strong understanding of logistics requirements (incoterms, freight)Skilled in working collaboratively with remote personnel.Project management & process improvement skills.Strong Experience with Oracle ERP is preferredLEAN Mindset is preferred.Fluent English and Japanese
