We are looking for a Lead Project Procurement & Logistics Manager (PPLM) to join our ACS Project Procurement & Logistics Team in Dresden or Berlin.
As the Lead PPLM you will be responsible for the overall procurement execution of complex Turnkey project(s) in the German market.
This would contain applying Procurement, Logistics, Sourcing & Projects Operations policy, setting up, finalizing and monitoring the procurement plan, being an interface between suppliers, subcontractors and the Project Team with respect to specifications and budgets.
Job Description
Tasks:
Act as the interface between the Project Director, Project Team, and Suppliers, ensuring & leading the seamless communication.
Own & lead the Procurement Scope, implement the procurement plan to maintain cost, quality, and on-time delivery. Ready proactively accommodate & lead the Project contingencies and unforeseen changes, modifications in the updated Project Procurement Plans.
Manage & Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely issuance of deliverables.
Maintain alignment between suppliers/subcontractor schedules and project planning.
Lead the process of the timely placement of Purchase Orders.
Advise and expedite the prolongation of Quotations, Offers Validities, adherence of the Supplier’s T&Cs to Project T&Cs.
Track progress. Regular reviews and meetings with Suppliers in terms of the fulfilment of all contractual requirements regarding customs and duties with the support of the concerned function (taxation, expediting, Logistics etc.).
Ensure invoices are released in accordance with the process in place.
In ONE TEAM Approach, work proactively with cross functional teams like Quality, Engineering, Contract Management, Sourcing, Scheduling, Cost Control to ensure the on-time delivery of documents (drawings, quotations, etc.) required to be obtained from suppliers.
Support the Project Director and Commodity Leader in defining and executing a claim management strategy.
Monitor risks and opportunities for the assigned scope, implementing mitigation plans.
Produce periodic progress monitoring and reporting to all stakeholders.
Issue & Follow-up on the timely closure of NCRs related to suppliers.
Effectively distribute and communicate relevant project information within the Procurement Team.
Lead & Report monthly progress, supplier claims and project cost summary to procurement management and within the project.
Represent Procurement in Project meetings, internally and externally, if required.
Desired Profile & Experience:
Proven experience in Project Procurement/Sourcing & Buying Management.
Bachelor/Master's degree from an accredited university.
Motivated TEAMPLAYER, owning the ONE TEAM Mindset.
Experience in Project/Contract/Engineering Management.
Engineering background (Electrical/Power Engineering) is advantageous.
Leadership negotiation skills with suppliers or customers.
Decision-making leadership ability and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and Sourcing management philosophy.
Ability to work as a Leader efficiently in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of construction aspects (CW, Erection, Site management).
Risk management knowledge.
Effective communication and teamwork capability.
Accountability, resilience, autonomy, and leadership.
Knowledge in scheduling/planning of large projects.
Knowledge in SAP, using different PM tools.
Understanding of the Power Industry and Products would be advantageous.
Fluency (business fluency) in German (MUST HAVE- at least B2.2 level) and English.
