As a Lead Product Developer at Kimberly-Clark, you will work as a member of a Research & Engineering (R&E) team to develop and implement new product, process, material or technology concepts. Successful execution of responsibilities requires collaboration across multiple functions and teams including Product Platform Teams, Process, Materials, Marketing, Product Supply/Life Cycle Management, Claims, Legal, Finance and Plant Operations.
This position reports into the Adult & Feminine Care R&E Feminine Care team with primary accountabilities for product development activities for U by Kotex ® product variants with focus on, but not limited to, feminine care pads and liners. The role spans innovation through development and commercialization.
In this role, you will:
Lead product development efforts for multiple projects and initiatives across the range of product development cycle. This position will primarily support our organization in the Development and Commercialization phase of research and innovation.Lead development and execution of product design strategy to deliver desired consumer benefits while ensuring alignment with Vision/Migration plans.Lead development of product development plans for assigned projects, ensuing consumer driven learning plans inform key milestones, budget, timeline, and resource forecast for assigned project(s).Ensure development and execution of product specification and quality plans appropriate for phase of project.Manage development and lead execution of learning plan in conjunction with Marketing Research and Innovation Testing teams.Facilitate discussions with marketing and the design team regarding claims and aesthetics.Provide mentorship to junior members of the product development team.Plan and carry out project responsibility with limited assistance and direction.Communicate and document project plans and results to key customers.Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of research principles, scientific analysis, and project management.Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause, develop and recommend solutions.

A Bachelor's or advanced degree in related major scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. May also include other relevant disciplines.5+ years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments.Knowledge and background in product development, including associated tools and methodologies. A demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process or product related initiatives.Working knowledge and/or direct experience with Design and Document Control processes and principles, as required in the development and support of FDA regulated devices is preferred.Proven ability to work effectively independently or with multiple functions in a project team, such as: legal, safety, regulatory, external design and engineering, quality, testing facilities, market research, marketing, and product supply.Ability to travel up to 10%
