We’re searching for a detail-oriented Lead Planner to join our Rail Infrastructure business. Working on the largest retrofit project in the rail industry in the UK, you will actively contribute to the Decarbonation and Digitalisation of the Great British Railways for the customer Network Rail, through the implementation of ETCS on Freight locomotives. As part of a 140+ staff strong project team across various sites and reporting to the Senior Planner, you will be working with the internal and external stakeholders of the wider project.
You’ll make a difference by
Being a technical planning expert and ensuring consistent application of standards and procedures
Developing and maintaining project plans in line with Siemens Rail Infrastructure UK standards.
Collaborating with project, commercial, and finance teams for accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
Coordinating with site and possession planners to align activities with the main project schedule.
Partnering with the Bids & Tendering team to transition tender plans into contract plans.
Cultivating strong client relationships to optimize planning and control solutions.
Performing critical path analysis and delivering insightful reports for project reporting requirements.
Your success will be grounded by
Your experience of planning major infrastructure projects, ideally within the Rail sector.
Working experience within project and programme management both internally and with external clients
Your technical planning expertise which is grounded by an advanced Primavera level qualification and wider experience in tools such as MS project.
A confident and motivated approach to your work and communication prowess.
Practiced analytical and problem-solving skills.
