The “Lead Operation Specialist - Factory operations” will be responsible for smooth operation of facility including regulatory requirements, Stores & inventory management & project integration activities of Automation projects for GEPIL.
This role drives flawless execution of GEPIL’s Power Automation & Controls (PAC) facility, enabling GEPIL to deliver customer value via key OTR metrics (EHS, Quality, on-time-delivery, cost outs, outage planning etc.), harmonized and integrated tools & processes across the Region, rigorous operating rhythm, and ensuring the return of experience to the project teams for sustainable deliverables for PAC business.
This role aims at delivering increased customer satisfaction through execution & operational excellence.
Job Description
Your Role:
Perform the daily operations of shop floor to ensure reliability and consistency on the production front.
Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy.
Ensure all factory compliance Statutory/ regulatory are done in time as per Factory act.
Executes production according to the appropriate instructions.
Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute projects as per customer/business need.
Own the Stores/ Logistics Function end to end and manage inventories and Kitting.
Working with SAP to execute MRP, Production order generation and closure.
Understanding the Automation Products including their design aspects & cabinet assembly.
Understanding on project Bill of Material & their controls inside SAP.
Control and measures on Changes Management during project execution.
Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance.
CAPEX & OPEX planning for Facility.
Drive EHS culture in collaboration with EHS teams.
Approval of work permits for all High-Risk activities. Ensure POWRA & POWLA implementation.
Drive continuous improvement through identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering. Exposure to Mechanical arrangement will be additional advantage.
Minimum 6-8 Years’ experience in Manufacturing/Integration. Exposure towards Panel integration will be an additional advantage.
Basic Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, Inventor.
Awareness on Factory Acts & Govt regulation needs.
Desired Characteristics

Ability to document, plan and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
