What impact you'll make?
Principal responsibilities include but not limited to leading the Netherlands/Hungary repairs logistics hub inspection and consolidation processes, managing EU export-import and intra community in and outbound shipping processes from customer site to any of GE global repair service centers. Lead Logistics Specialist is responsible for freight forwarder/carrier and transport mode selection, providing professional support to contracted services and transactional representatives as well as global gas repair Service Centers. Export-import transactions must be recorded and shipping documentation archived. This role reports to the EURCIS Operational Lead (Repairs flow leader).
Job Description
What you'll do
Plan and Execute inbound and/or outbound repairs shipments.Provide accurate shipping invoices and related export /import documents to all customers, shipping agents and other related parties,Coordinate and record material movements and provide proper custody and control until delivery terms have been fulfilled.Control and improve data accuracy of logistics tracking system,Conduct RFQ's for internal stakeholders to provide cost/cycle scenarios.Identify and implement best cost solutions regarding transport mode, route, carrier selection, container utilization and consolidations, for ocean, air and over the road freight, material flow improvement.Cargo Management. Maintain shipment schedules. Develop, maintain and distribute shipment status reports to key stakeholders. Monitor and maintain in-transit inventory report to ensure accuracy.Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
College or university degree in relevant fieldStrong experience in international customer service or related field,Strong knowledge of EU temporary export regulations and import regulations,Good understanding of foreign temporary import and re-export requirements,In depth knowledge of ICC Incoterms 2010Strong interpersonal and communication skills in EnglishAbility to perform under pressure in an environment of high volume transactions,Ability to plan, assign priorities and solve problems.
What will make you stand out
Strong knowledge of EU temporary import processes,Knowledge of various software applications (OTM, SAP, MS Access & Excel, etc.).
