Job Description

　　Insight Global is seeking a Lead Developer, with a strong React and Front-end focus, to join a large client in the GTA/Mississauga area (flexible Hybrid schedule). The Lead, Front-End/Full Stack Developer will play a crucial role in the dynamic environment of our client, collaborating with product owners, technical groups, and clients to ensure the development of robust solutions. This includes designing and developing cloud-based projects, providing valuable input to application architecture, and interpreting functional requirements outlined in design documents and user stories. They will contribute to many of the design and architectural aspects of projects from solutioning through to UAT and testing phases. The Lead Developer specifically we are seeking 1) the functional leadership and 2) ability to code -- Please note this is not a Manager but the candidate can expect some overlap with performance reviews, coaching mentoring, etc. as there will be 3 developers under this Lead. The ideal candidate will be technically sound with past experience leading projects, being a part of the design process, and mentoring junior developers.

　　Existing projects involve internal-facing applications supporting various departments such as corporate, finance, legal, HR, revenue management, health, and safety -- and the client has an ERP go-live set for April 1st. The Lead Dev will contribute to projects emerging from the new ERP, address new features, configurations, and providing oversight to the support. They are also working on the development of an online billing page, empowering customers to review and pay invoices through the clients website.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Over 5 years of Fullstack software development experience with Java-based React applications (Angular, React, Java, APIs/Microservices, AWS, SQL)

　　Past experience leading other team members/developers

　　Eagerness to step into a leadership position with 3 developers (willing to take on code/performance/coaching)

　　Strong focus on front-end UI with expertise in React frameworks, libraries, and interaction with back-end APIs

　　Proficient in Web User Interface Design, including multiple UI frameworks such as Angular and React

　　Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and debugging software in Java

　　Understanding of AWS cloud services, Rest API, JSON, YAML using spring boot

　　Comfortable with Cloudwatch, Dynamo DB or MongoDB, and SQL

　　Knowledgeable in microservices and service-oriented architectures Familiarity with Python as a language

　　Exposure to microservices and the AWS cloud ecosystem

　　DevOps experience with relational/non-relational services within AWS

　　Experience with SAP null
