Overview:In this role, the Lead Engineer performs the embedded Software development activities for the Aircraft Cargo systems by following the DO-178C guidelines.
Position : Lead Engineer - (Software Developer) P2 gradePrimary Responsibilities:
Able to Design, develop, review, modify, document, test, implement, install and support software applications and systems.Embedded software design and development using 'C'.End to end software Development activities as per DAL-D DO178B/C guidelines.Preparation and Review of Software requirement document (SRD) with guidance from the System level documents as per DO178B/C guidelinesExperience in developing Software design documents (SDD) with guidance as per DO178B/C guidelines.Experience in programming and implementing embedded systems serial protocols (UART/USB/SPI/i2C/RS-485).Experience in programming and implementing A429 and CAN protocolKnowledge in performing Stack analysis, Memory analysis and WCET analysis.Experience in participating Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR)Preparation of slides and Experience in participating and conducting SOI AuditsAssist in preparation of software certification documents as per DO178B/C guidelines.Knowledge on Boeing D6 standards and Airbus ABD standards.Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods.Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.Understand the interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components that interact with the currently developed component.Learn and be able to use test equipment (e.g. Logic Analyzer) and software debugging tools (e.g. Wireshark) to aid in the integration process. Learn techniques and skills required to identify a root cause of a given software integration issue.Familiarity with software configuration management tools, Requirement management tools, defect tracking tools and peer review processInteract with US POCs for close coordination of the project activitiesReport to Associate Engineering Manager/Engineering ManagerCritical thinker, decision making and problem-solving skillsAnalyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the systemKnowledge/Hands on experience in Python, C#, C++ - OptionalBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics/Tele Communication and 4+ years of relevant experience is required in Software Development activities using DO-178B/C guidelinePreferred Qualifications:
