What you'll do:
Lead Hardware Engineer is responsible for leading technical projects for Circuit Protection Devices and mentor product development team on technical competency development.
Lead Engineer will be responsible for overall Hardware design and development of Product to meet project schedule and budget. Provide technical solutions, follow defined processes & lead in product development & technology innovations.
Lead Engineer should understand Technology Trends, Define strategy and come up with solutions that provides competetive advantage.
Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development.
• Main focus of Lead Hardware Engineer is Electronics Hardware Development for Circuit protection Devices.
• Should have sound technical knowledge and experience in design and development of electronic products with Circuit protection Functionality Such as Breakers, Switchgears and Contactore and Wiring Devices Such as Dimming Control etc.as per product standards such as UL, IEC & NEC.
• Demonstrated ability to technically lead product team & work with cross functional teams to provide business solutions.
• Should have ability to influence and drive people / activities on complex technical issues.
• Extensive experience of full Hardware development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Electrical / Industrial applications.
• Hands on experience in defining the system / subsystem specifications, designing the system architecture and requirements for complex systems.
• Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders.
• Protects intellectual property through patents/ disclosures
• Estimate workload, establish and maintain project schedules and monitor progress through the project execution phases
• Collaborate with external and internal customers, such as Product Management, Operations and other Engineering teams during the product development life cycle
Qualifications:
1. B.E. /Btech/ME/MTech
2. 9-15 Years of work experience
Skills:
Should have hands on experience on hardware architecture design, feature & performance specifications, 16/32 bit micro-controllers/ DSP based designs.
- Should have hands on experience in High Speed Design, Digital Design, Mixed Signal Design
- Should have hands on experience on simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Model Sim, etc.
- Good knowledge on PCB design guidelines for SI, high speed design & EMI/EMC.
- Good knowledge of regulatory and industry standard related to Circuit Breakers and Wiring Devices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with various cultures across the globe
- Solution orientated and capable of working in a matrix organization
- Capable of creating create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans
