CMX’s Leadership team is seeking an experienced industry leader to help build and lead the end-to-end development & management of our Ad-tech’s architecture design and roadmap. This is a pivotal role in advancing our business foundationally by getting the right advancements internally, while bridging new partnerships externally to transcend our tech-platform capabilities forward.
The Lead Director of Ad-tech Monetization will assess existing internal capabilities and architecture design, as well as industry trends and shifts, to recommend an ad-tech strategy and roadmap to unleash transformative value from CMX data, digital interactions, and experience across. The Lead Director of Ad-tech Monetization is a highly-cross-functional role, working alongside counterparts within CMX Product, Partnerships, Operations and Business Intelligence teams as well as CVS enterprise teams (Analytics, Architects and engineers and IT). The ideal candidate is well balanced with architecture design, and an strong-results driven business background. She/he has a deep technical depth, and ability to synthesize design into a cohesive shared-vision across key stakeholders and communicates recommendations effectively.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics centered around ad-tech advancement that is critical for our monetization growth strategies and platform scalability. The successful candidate will be a storyteller of the right information and excel in their ability to visualize and communicate complex and dynamic information and insights in new and creative ways to achieve our roadmap objectives. This role will report to the Head of Product, and will have consistent exposure and engagement with Lead Director peers, VPs, and SVPs.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of Ad-tech strategies and roadmaps to drive investments in CMX & Enterprise technical capabilities, through collaborative internal assessment of ad-tech capabilities and recommending the right strategic partnerships to enhance CMX ad-tech roadmap.
Cross-functionally collaborate with business, product, operations, and technology stakeholders to understand business needs, define future-state business capabilities, and establish a technical vision for the CMX Ad-tech platform.
Develop and promote technical roadmaps to modernize, enhance, and support the scalability and agility needed for CMX Ad-tech platform.
Provide architectural leadership on multiple complex projects and business technologies
Research current and emerging technology and engage with other architects to innovate in a risk appropriate manner to accelerate corporate growth.
Provide support to management on build vs buy analysis and decisions.
Remain intimate and knowledgeable on cloud technologies and cloud and hybrid cloud frameworks.
Recommending broad approaches and areas of opportunities to meet the targets and long-range plans to senior leadership and team: highlighting areas of concern or bottlenecks to the leadership team.
Understanding the industry strategy across other departments (for example, enterprise ad-tech roadmaps, digital and data engineering teams and architects).
Builds, leads, and develops a team with a minimum team size by providing direction and guidance to associates on career development; Conducting weekly meetings, providing constructive feedback to associates to enhance skills, knowledge, brand perception, institutional knowledge, and work performance; conducting performance and career development conversations; engaging and mentoring less experienced managers and associates.

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the open-door Policy.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, sharing insights, results, and recommendations related to Ad-tech strategy.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience with deep subject matter expertise in AdTech solutions and architecture across Search marketing, and broad experience across Paid Social, Programmatic, and Affiliates/Influencer marketing; with a track record of driving efficient growth at scaled technical investment levels.
7+ Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with a demonstrated ability to prioritize activities effectively, build strong relationships internally and externally, and to be accountable to significant technical investments and the expected levels of returns.
7+ years of experience leading the strategy development and execution planning of transformative projects from end to end, with both internal and external entities.
7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functionals projects across all levels within an organization and relevant external constituents.
An entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated examples of being results-oriented, and consumer & partner obsessed.
A people-first leader equally comfortable setting a vision and strategy Ad-tech development as well as rolling up sleeves and helping the team get the job done. Highly flexible, with the ability to effectively lead through ambiguity and quickly adapt.
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler frameworks and illustrations.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,500.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
